Senior Accountant Poland

Alleima Business Unit (BU) Medical produces and sells components for life-changing medical devices. We are on an exciting growth journey and have during the last years made three acquisitions and set up two new sites. Being a truly global organization, we have manufacturing sites in Germany, Switzerland, Poland and Italy as well as in the USA.

We are now looking for a Senior Accountant to our latest acquisition in Poland, Alleima Poland Sp. z o.o. (previously Endox polska Sp. z o.o.) with around 50 employees.

Your Role
As an accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s accounting systems, ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting. You will work closely with the outsourced accountant to oversee general ledger entries, prepare month-end close, and support financial analysis to drive operational improvements. Your hands-on knowledge with accounting practices will be essential in providing reliable data to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate financial records by executing day-to-day financial operations with precision and attention to detail.

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing supporting documentation for balance sheet account reconciliations.

Take ownership of the fixed assets register, serving as the primary point of contact for updates, reconciliations, and reporting.

Report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with group guidelines and local GAAP

Analyze general ledger accounts to validate journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by management

Provide essential support to the other departments in daily operations and financial processes.

 

About You

You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required) with 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in an ERP system.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger management are important as well as knowledge of reporting and budgeting processes.

With Business unit Medical being very globalized, proficiency in English is important as well as Polish to be able to interact with local colleagues and authorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments will contribute to your success in this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Additional Information

You will be reporting to the Production unit Manager and collaborate closely with the Financial manager for EMEA, who is based in Germany.
